European GH in Siam Reap used have a pit of them years ago. Smelly enterprise
There was a fairly big crocodile farm in central Siem Reap for a long time. It had huge circular pits with gated pens around them. You could buy a hatchling for $15. Last time I was there was 2007, and I don't even remember where it was exactly. There was a guesthouse nearby with a backyard full of crocs.

You've gotta admit, that's a nasty way to go. Fighting with all your might against the jaws of a crocodile. Probably knowing you aint gonna win this one. But you continue to fight with all your might. Probably
watching pieces of your own body being torn away from you, desperately hoping you'll lose consciousness before it gets any worse.

Nasty, nasty way to go.

CAMBODIA
Man killed by 40 crocodiles that "pounced" after he fell into enclosure

About 40 crocodiles killed a Cambodian man on Friday after he fell into their enclosure on his family's reptile farm, police said.

Luan Nam, 72, was trying to move a crocodile out of a cage where it had laid eggs when it grabbed the stick he was using as a goad and pulled him in.

The main group of reptiles then set about him, tearing his body to pieces and leaving the concrete enclosure at the farm in Siem Reap awash with blood.

"While he was chasing a crocodile out of an egg-laying cage, the crocodile attacked the stick, causing him to fall into the enclosure," Mey Savry, police chief of Siem Reap commune, told AFP.

"Then other crocodiles pounced, attacking him until he was dead," he said, adding that the remains of Luan Nam's body were covered with bite marks.

One of the man's arms was bitten off and swallowed by the crocodiles, he said.

Luan Nam was the president of the local crocodile farmers' association but his family may now sell his stock, after urging him for years to stop raising the reptiles, commune chief May Sameth told AFP.

Local media reported that the victim was from Po Banteay Chey village.

A two-year-old girl was killed and eaten by crocodiles in 2019 when she wandered into her family's reptile farm in the same village, the police chief said.

There are a number of crocodile farms around Siem Reap, the gateway city to the famed ruins of Angkor Wat.

Wow the international tabloids are having a field day with this story. :la_rose:

Pensioner 'swallowed whole' by swarm of 40 crocodiles which dragged him into enclosure
WARNING, DISTRESSING CONTENT: A longtime crocodile farmer was killed by his life's work after one of the reptiles pulled him into its enclosure before joining in with around 40 others to tear him to shreds

A farmer has been torn apart by his own livestock after he fell into his crocodile enclosure.

Around 40 of the carnivorous reptiles set upon their elderly captor Luan Nam after finding himself on the wrong side of the enclosure in Siem Reap, some 160 miles from the capital of Cambodia Phnom Penh.

The 72-year-old came a cropper on his family’s reptile farm while he was said to be trying to get a croc to leave its eggs.

As he tried to goad the prehistoric monster using a stick, the imprisoned apex predator took the opportunity and yanked it, pulling the old man in.

The 40-strong gang then swarmed the helpless bloke tearing him to shreds.

Well they probably didn't farm those crocodiles for the crocs' own benefit. Sometimes nature has the nasty habit of striking back.

Croc attacks common up here in the Deep North of Australia. Always a croc in every creek. If they are a nuisance they trap them but another dominant male will take over.

Some people don't understand the difference between reptiles and amphibians. Some people don't understand what karma means either.
The most common misconception about Karma is that it is divine retribution or punishment from God which it is definitely NOT.

Karma is the result of our actions which are determined by our desires which we put into practice.

The determining factor of Karma is INTENTION (saṅkalpa) so we think about something, resolve to achieve it, and then act - that act has three possibilities -

it produces joy, happiness and contributes to another’s good,
it causes pain, injury or detracts from the good of another.
It has a neutral effect on others but a positive or negative effect on oneself.

We experience the outcomes of our actions in all their many repercussions - this is the fruit of Karma. Positive actions produce possitive results, negative actions negative ones. Neutral acts don’t produce Karma per se but condition the way we think and may impact on our future desires, intentions and actions.

So address this process by first examining and reorganising you mind to clear out all negativity and try to think in a more positive way.

Think before you act! Remember that even simple actions have effects on others - so be very mindful of the way to speak to and treat others - since this will rebound upon you.

If you have hurt someone then ask forgiveness and make amends.

Remember that the two properties common to all sentient beings is that they all wish to be happy and to avoid suffering - so try to empathise with them and avoid increasing the suffering in the world. Strive to be a benevolent and beneficent presence in the world.
