Woman Dies of Botched Cosmetic Surgery in Phnom Penh Clinic
Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: Another patient has reportedly died due to a botched operation performed in one of Phnom Penh's private beauty clinics which offer cosmetic surgery on the premises***.
According to the owner of the Facebook icon, Pisey Tun, her sister, Sinuon Rithya, had booked a cosmetic surgery procedure at the Borin Clinic in Koh Pich, Phnom Penh, and died suddenly afterward. She said that her sister underwent the cosmetic surgery at the Borin Clinic on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
According to the registration letter by Borin Clinic, dated May 16, 2023, the patient was scheduled to enter Borin Clinic on Saturday, May 20, 2023, for a cosmetic operation involving liposuction of the face and abdomen. However, after 2 hours of surgery, the patient appeared to be in some discomfort, so the Borin Clinic was preparing to send her to Calmette Hospital for further treatment the following day. But the following day it was too late because Sinuon Rithya was found dead.
Sinuon Rithya was 36 years old and leaves behind a grieving husband and three young children. Pisey Tun, the sister of the deceased woman, is angry at this scandal, and she has made a public request for an investigation by the Ministry of Health and the government authorities. She wants a full inquiry into the Borin clinic, the operating surgeon and medical team, and the circumstances surrounding the operation, so that those responsible for her sister's death will be held accountable
As for Borin Koh Pich Beauty Clinic, they could not be reached for comment because they did not answer the phone.

Isn’t this the second one this year? Or have I got a bit of a skewed perception of time? (Fighting hard to keep up in the right direction, let alone NSEW…)

She did not look like she needed more, but I guess I can't see the body to really tell since it was lipo. There needs to come a point when we are happy with what we were born with.

UPDATE
Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): The Ministry of Health, through Dr. O Vandin, signed a letter dated May 24, 2023, ordering the closure of the Borin Beauty Center Koh Pich, located at No. S 19 Elite Street, Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh.
The decision of the Ministry of Health follows the tragic death of a 36-year-old woman during cosmetic surgery at the clinic, which may have been caused by the negligence of the management of the clinic. The Ministry has said that they will implement any legal proceedings that may apply to both the management and owners of Borin Beauty Center Koh Pich.
CEO News comment: Meanwhile, buyer beware, the Cambodian Ministry of Health is at present attempting to set standard regulations for hospitals, clinics, pharmaceutical sellers, beauty clinics, and other medical practictioners, but as we all know, there are always exceptions to rules and regulations in Cambodia. Those at fault get closed down, only to reopen as a brand new business.

Quite a quick closure notice, too. The problem with draconian measures applied too liberally is that it’s difficult to learn from any mistakes, as folks generally go into arse covering mode. Mistakes are rarely limited to just a small number of people. There’s often a much longer error chain, and that includes the regulating authorities.

She was a beautiful woman, it's a shame her self esteem got her killed.
I'm sure her children and husband wishes they had told her how beautiful she was before all this..
