Why is Cambodia's Health System Still Struggling ?

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

nothing upset me more than when the kids of my partners sister would get a cough, runny nose or temp of 99 an they would run off to the hospital, come back with a bunch of meds that when i looked them up were worthless> yet Never would the "Drs" be questioned ( god forbid)
Most 3rd world countries "Drs" are nothing but about selling pills, so the Drs can show he is superior to them

Pill companies the world over, "give " lots of free samples to the Drs and then the Drs would prescribe them, Pill company sales reps make tons of $$$
thats how the opiate epidemic got hold so quick in the states

Most people don't even go to a doctor, they just take whatever the pharmacist gives them.

Ah right, the opioid epidemic, fueled by the greed of pharma companies and a bunch of irresponsible "doctors". The US have the most expensive 3rd world health system in the world.
