Tourist Visa Overstay
Tourist Visa Overstay
Tourist visa has already been extended and that extension expired on the 1st of May. The person was due to leave on the 9th of May and knows about the $10 per day fine and is not bothered.
He now plans to change his flight from the 9th to the 23rd of May and is not bothered about the fine.
Question: How many days can you overstay and pay the fine without having to go to the DOI and getting an exit visa, paying the fine and apologising etc?
The person believes that under 30 days of overstay can be paid at the airport without any hassle. Is this the case?

Re: Tourist Visa Overstay
I heard 30 days, but not sure how true that is
Re: Tourist Visa Overstay
Overstays of less than 30 days can be paid at passport control upon departure, cash only.
Overstays of 30+ days require a trip to the DoI Visa Office to pay the fine and purchase an Exit Visa.

Re: Tourist Visa Overstay
Good info.
Thailand said I had a 30 day visa..I learned it was 29..they counted my 10:30pm arrival. Still at airport after midnight as 1 day...they still took me out of line into an office...I pleaded ignorance and he let me off with warning...more than one day he said cost me..
I cannot imagine being an overstay in Cambodia after 6 years...why?
