I wouldn’t worry about the icon while certain character combinations in your keyboard are having issues…

I'm just thankful there's now a favicon at all. It took long enough, especially for something so simple to do - at least on Wordpress type websites they're easy. Maybe they aren't quite as easy on these message board / bulletin board types of sites. It's a first world problem, I know, but but as someone with mild OCD, there's nothing uglier than having a generic favicon in a list of favourites / bookmarks.

Personally, I would have just gone with the single white 'C' on the blue background - the first letter of the CEO logo.
