Hacked on iPhone ?
Today I got this that i am being hacked on one of my less used iPhones . It’s the one I let someone always borrow so I don’t know but i imagine they been watching tic tok with it and being hacked I got 10 iPhone because they not make iPods here ( no sims in them )
Needless to say I did not believe it and did not install this app - when I clicked where you’re supposed to I took these screenshots, any body else out there got it ?

Re: Hacked on iPhone ?
Sounds like something involving your calendar.
I'm not an apple guy but had to fix one of the cousins iPhones with similar issues, they've downloaded something and it's hidden in your settings, somehow involved with the calendar on the phone.

Re: Hacked on iPhone ?
If ur phone's hacked there will be software (malware) installed which will be activated after a restart. It might remain silent and undetected for a while while sending ur d|ckpics to Putin or Xi.pissontheroof wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 5:38 pm Ok , just reset

Factory reset is the way to go, but you will lose all data (unless you have a copy in the cloud) and you can only do this so many (3?) times with an iphone
Re: Hacked on iPhone ?
Reset. Not restart.
Backup all contacts photos etc to the cloud before resetting otherwise you will lose all that

Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.

its a hoax , fake news . restart worked
its all better now .
i dont send dick pics , im too shy

i am 70 years of age !
Re: Hacked on iPhone ?
Perhaps you selected restart but need to reset.
Settings-> General-> Transfer or Reset -> Reset
Will erase everything on the phone and make it like you just bought it with no optional apps installed.

Re: Hacked on iPhone ?
Authenticator is a genuine App from the App Store, that I think is rather redundant now that phone OSs have evolved. It’s basically a repository of passwords.
We downloaded it a long while back when the company I was with used it for collating some company security stuff, but then we never used it once it was highlighted that while it’s compliant with basic app guidelines, it probably also stores your data elsewhere, not so compliantly.
So, delete it.
Here’s another thing. A lot of locals let the phone shop set up their phones for them, and they quite often end up with a clone of a clone of a clone… The other half is bad at that. Someone may well have downloaded the app based on ‘helpful’ advice.
Be selective about who you lend the phone to. If you must, track down all your spares, set up a separate Apple ID for ‘family’ to keep your stuff separate from theirs, and all your spares. And change all your current passwords.
Edit. On second looking, The one in the OP is similar to the one that the company used, which was microShiite related. But basically the same thing. Password and login storage. Still probably redundant. I’d still take some extra care with who uses the phone in your absence.
