Sad news as FOX News Media, Tucker Carlson part ways
Re: Sad news as FOX News Media, Tucker Carlson part ways
I seriously doubt that. Even so, it ain’t happening until 2025 at the earliest.David Gordon wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 11:54 amhe will make a shit ton more money now running his own show.Kenr wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 11:25 am His termination had nothing to do with truths or lies. Had that been the case he would have been fired years ago.
Talking shit via text messages about upper management and having a pending discrimination case filed against you will get you fired every time.
He thought he was bigger than Fox, but found out he wasn’t.

easily possible for him to get 1,000,000 subs paying $4+ a month. Do the math.Kenr wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 1:01 pmI seriously doubt that. Math? Ok. How about reality? Do you think all that money would go into his own pocket? He has to air it through some broadcasting station. He has to pay a crew. He would have other expenses. Now redo your math.David Gordon wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 1:13 pmeasily possible for him to get 1,000,000 subs paying $4+ a month. There’s a difference between fiction and reality. Ask Elon Musk how easy it is.

Is it that easy? When he was on Fox people could watch him for almost free. I'm not sure how many of those people would pay, and many don't even know how to use a computer.David Gordon wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 1:13 pm ..easily possible for him to get 1,000,000 subs paying $4+ a month. Do the math.

Could watch bits on YouTube otherwise had to subscribe to fox either directly or through a cable package.
He has 7.1 million followers on Twitter. Musk is offering 100% revenue to creators for the first year. Just look at Rogan and it’s insane his followers. Look at madhatter Alex Jones who has been banned almost everywhere - yet he has a huge following who pay to sub.
There will be subscription revenue and also advertising revenue. Musk wants it to be the best most lucrative place for hosting creators and is making it pay way more than the competition.

he will have production staff and expenses like any business. He will have his own studio. So what. My math is 48 million in revenue. ++. He also makes money at speaking engagements. He can pay his staff well.Kenr wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 1:42 pmMath? Ok. How about reality? Do you think all that money would go into his own pocket? That’s funny, according to Musk he hasn’t had any contact with Carlson on this matter. And Musk is barely keeping Twitter afloat with his loss of advertising revenue, so paying Carlson that kind of money is unrealistic at this time.David Gordon wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 2:57 pm Could watch bits on YouTube otherwise had to subscribe to fox either directly or through a cable package.

You clearly don’t understand how Twitter works.Kenr wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 3:23 pmThat’s funny, according to Musk he hasn’t had any contact with Carlson on this matter. No one needs a contract with Twitter to post content and take subscribers. That’s no different than YouTube.
Musk has stabilized Twitter by trimming all the excess fat and has huge plans to increase its function and its reach.
