Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A man fell from the 10th floor of the Reach Sambath condominium building and died immediately during a raid by the Anti-Drug Police Force of the National Police General Commission to crack down on drug use and trafficking. The operation took place in the early hours of April 24, 2023, at a condominium on Street 592, in Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh.


Police raided the apartment at 3am, seizing 14 packets of methamphetamine and arresting 6 suspects, and 1 man fell to his death whilst trying to escape.
The six persons arrested by Anti-Drug police are:
- Ly Socheata, female, 22 years old, Cambodian.
- So Piseth, male, 20 years old, Cambodian.
- Oun Roth, Male, 17 years old, Cambodian.
- Chheng Sok Leng, male, 16 years old, Cambodian.
- Mom Phearun, male, 14 years old, Cambodian.
- Lou Yeaksey, 18 years old, Cambodian.
The deceased was identified only as Leang, male, 25 years old, Khmer.


Sources from the police said that during the operation, one of the occupants slipped and fell when he made an escape attempt by climbing out the window in an effort to jump into the next door apartment. After falling 10 storeys, the man hit a car before hitting the ground in the concreted parking area and he died instantly.
