Lt. Col. John Sophit said that the suspect was Moeun Sophat, a 31-year-old man living in Trapeang Chhouk village, Kampong Speu province. He was walking in the street, when he suddenly attacked the monk, 68-year-old Sros Saroeun, with a solid wooden post about 1 meter long, and hit him repeatedly over the head. The monk was felled instantly by the blows, and he died on the spot.

The police said that after the incident, specialized forces immediately arrested the suspect and asked him why he attacked the monk. The man said that he killed the monk because he had cast a dark spell on him, and therefore had to be killed to order to remove the spell. Police are maintaining the attacker in detention until his trial.

You would think that killing the person who cast the spell would makes things better, though it just seems to make things worse.
Don't figure :chin:
