My new album

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Speaking of Vietnam and all that jazz ... saw a video online with a veteran talking story ... his quote went something like this ... "We had more admiration for the people we were ordered to kill, than the people who ordered us to kill them ..."

You believe that everything happens for a reason?
The other statement is even more asinine. But ok, the internet.

For anyone who is interested.

My song called You Don't Get to Love Me, written by me and sung by me, will make it's debut on Radio Oun (Former Kampot Radio) at 5pm, Cambodia time.
Hope you like it. :)

Thanks to everyone who made it to Little Suzie's last night.
The songs were very well received, I'll be posting all the YouTube links soon.

It's live on Bandcamp.

My two songs ( that I wrote) are These Nights (sung by Cati from Broken Cymbal) and You Don't get to Love me Anymore (sung by me), which is dedicated to my ex, Ric. ;)
My Aunty Cathy's three songs are sung by Marianne Hensley and Dave Z (from the Cambodia Country Band and Extraordinary Chambers).

Hope you like them! :) (This is completely nerve wracking lol)

When I was a young child, my incredibly musical aunty started writing country music.

She taught me how to write songs and we formed quite a bond because of it. When I was very young I promised her that although I never wanted her to die, when she did, after she was gone, I would make sure the world heard her music.

And then she passed away from Covid during the pandemic and left the world with a catalogue of about 60 unpublished, unrecorded music, most of it country.

I embarked on this journey of recording three of her songs, and two of mine. I roped in some amazing musician friends, spent my life savings and made it happen.

There are several different singers (I sing the song I wrote - 'You don't get to love me Anymore' and a real singer sings my other song, 'These Nights').

So at the ripe old age of 53, I'd like to present my EP, dedicated to my amazing Aunty Cathy.
