On March 10, 2023, the operation team received a request for intervention from a Chinese woman named SONG HUILING, born on December 10, 1997, who was suspected of being forcibly detained at a location in Koh Kong province.
On March 11, 2023, the Koh Kong Provincial Police Commission went to investigate found the Chinese woman working at a company in Koh Kong Province, but with no signs of torture or forcible detention.

The woman explained that last September she came voluntarily to Cambodia to work for a Chinese company for 6 months, but at the end of her contract, when she wanted to leave her job, the company 'asked' her to keep working for them until they found a replacement. After she asked to leave her job several times, the woman posted a message on Facebook, asking for the intervention of the Cambodian authorities. She said that she had not been mistreated by the company, but she wanted to go back to China.

Currently, the competent authorities have sent SONG HUILING to the General Department of Immigration to carry out the repatriation procedure.
