30Yo British Man, CHARLIE FREDERICK GRAY, Dies in Kampot, Cambodia

Numerous people saw this happen in broad daylight?siliconlife wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 2:02 pm So this is just word of mouth, but the story I'm hearing is that the fall was witnessed by local Cambodians who attempted CPR, but suspected that his neck was broken. It allegedly happened in broad daylight. The sewer is actually more of an open pipe that you can see here:

A look at his Facebook page shows that he was somewhat traumatized over a relationship breakup and some supposedly bad behaviour he partook in during it, possibly substance related, and was coming to Cambodia to get away. So he may have been depressed and or intoxicated.
It doesn't look like much of a drop to break a mans neck. Hmmm...

Depends how hard you fell. I'm not joining any intrigue here, just digging up available info.angsta wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 12:47 amNumerous people saw this happen in broad daylight?siliconlife wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 2:02 pm So this is just word of mouth, but the story I'm hearing is that the fall was witnessed by local Cambodians who attempted CPR, but suspected that his neck was broken. The only Wat on the way to Tadep Village aka International Village is Wat Kampot on the main road. Wat Veal Pouch is past us and at the basr of the mountain. Not sure where Wat Ang Andong is....Jerry Atrick wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 11:16 am
"We hardly see foreigners in this area.”
Unless mistaken, that's the pagoda on route to the "international village" in KampotThe man’s corpse was found at 4:15 pm on April 6, 2023, in a sewer near the concrete road to Ang Andong Preng pagoda in Tvi Khang Cheung village, Sangkat Andong Khmer Krong, Kampot.
There are hundreds of foreigners in that area
if you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space.

Hello, I knew Charlie personally. You're not wrong, but there was more to him than that of course. He struggled severely with his mental health and was grieving and was looking for peace and to help his recovery by travelling across Asia. He wasn't depressed, I spoke to him two days before and he was the happiest I'd known him in a long time there in Cambodia. His travel buddy spoke to the manager at the last business he went into and according to them he was not intoxicated.siliconlife wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 2:02 pm So this is just word of mouth, but the story I'm hearing is that the fall was witnessed by local Cambodians who attempted CPR, but suspected that his neck was broken. Could you please message me in regards to what you've heard from your sources, it corroborates with what his travel buddy says about the attempt to save his life.siliconlife wrote: ↑Sat Apr 08, 2023 2:02 pm So this is just word of mouth, but the story I'm hearing is that the fall was witnessed by local Cambodians who attempted CPR, but suspected that his neck was broken. Really not funny.

Autopsy finds Brit’s drowning was not murder
Major General Mao Chanmathurith, Kampot Provincial Police Chief, said yesterday that a British man, who was found dead lying face down in a sewer last week in Kampot was not a murder but an accident.
Maj Gen Chanmathurith said yesterday that the victim, who was drunk, died by falling down a sewer while he was walking alone at midnight on Thursday last week.
His body was found by a villager who alerted local police for intervention.
“According to the provincial police’s investigation and the victim’s autopsy, the victim was drunk and he fell down a sewer while walking alone at night in Kampot city,” Maj Gen Chanmathurith said.

Broad daylight ... Midnight ...
Several people saw it ... One villager found him ...
Anybody else seeing some inconsistency here?

Yes. The inconsistencies vanish if you discount the horseshit that the sorry excuse of a paper called the Khmer Times printed in its original story
