Man Chops Uncle with Machete
Cambodia News (Pursat): According to the Pursat Provincial Police, a case of intentional violence occurred in Snam Preah commune, Bakan district, on the afternoon of Friday, 31 March 2023, when a man was attacked by his nephew armed with a machete.
The older man was sitting on a water pump in the backyard minding his own business, when the 44-year-old man unexpectedly came up and hacked at his 61-year-old uncle with a machete. The cleaver hit the man's head and left eyebrow, and he had cuts to the back and the right forearm. He was taken by his family to a private clinic in Andong Krasang village.
The attacker, who is suspected to be mentally ill, was disarmed, arrested, and taken into custody by three police officers. The machete was taken back to the Bakan District Police Office as evidence.

Re: Man Chops Uncle with Machete
That's a cleaver, not a machete. I tried to buy a machete recently to do some work on an elderly veteran friend's garden. I had a look around the hardware store but couldn't find anything appropriate. So I showed one of the assistants a photo of a machete on my phone. He announced loudly "Samurai - ot mean", and everyone stared at me like I was about to go and chop up a bunch of villagers.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Re: Man Chops Uncle with Machete
^^ OK, machete or cleaver ? Good question. The one in the OP photo looks more like a cleaver, but some machetes also look (a bit) like cleavers. From a random "How to Pick the Best Machete" website:
3. ESEE Knives EXPAT Libertariat Machete
If you want a super compact and simple machete, I got you, fam.
The Libertariat just wants to end brush and weeds. It’s also the most compact machete on this list — a hair bigger than a KA-BAR.
Its blade and handle shape make it more of a chopper than a knife.
