Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On 3 April 2023, a man was sent by the police force of Russey Keo district to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for questioning in connection with an aggravated theft case, in which the suspect is accused of removing the door of the victim's room in order to steal property, on 1 April 2023, in Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh. The victim was absent from her room at the time, but reported the theft when she returned to find that her door had been removed from its hinges.

According to the Russey Keo district police, the suspect is: 37 years old Chheang Vanthy residing in Group 1, Toul Popel Village, Sangkat Toul Sangke 2, Khan Russey Keo, Phnom Penh. He was arrested by police in the street in Toul Popel village later the same day, in possession of the stolen property.

The police confiscated the following exhibits: - 280 USD in cash, 1 ring, 1 orange-yellow necklace, and one white Honda Scoop motorcycle with license plate Phnom Penh 1IV-2643.
