Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A shocking incident happened at 11:25 pm on April 3, 2023, when a Chinese man defecated in front of the SOHO Mall, on the street next to the Russian Embassy, at the corner of National Assembly Road in Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh. The Chinese man then assaulted an employee from Soho Mall who ran up to him shouting" No! No!" and gesturing for him to stop what he was doing.

According to sources at the scene, a group of people including two Chinese men and a woman, were walking from a bar when they stopped at the scene where one of the men went to defecate under a street light on the sidewalk in front of the Soho Mall.

After the security man shouted at the Chinese man to stop pooping, the foreign man became angry and he walked over to hit the victim in the face several times, and seeing this, another security guard came to help him, but also got hit, and then the Chamkarmon District Military Police patrol came to intervene and ask the Chinese man what was the matter.

However, the Chinese man (who appeared to be quite drunk), also started fighting the military officers, so they arrested and handcuffed him, and took him away for questioning at the Chamkar Mon District Gendarmerie office.
