In "smash and grab" , you got to smash.
Smashing with a scoopy or a motocross doesn't quite do it ^^
I"m surprised they choose to trust a Prius for the "runaway-on-possible-dirtroads-in Kow" part though.

There are a few more details here:
The police actually chased down and arrested 3 suspects, who tried to drive away from the territory of Bor Seth district to Phnom Sruoch district, but were arrested by the police when they stopped their car and fled toward the caves on foot.
Exhibits confiscated by police include: A 2007 gray Prius car (Phnom Penh 2BP-3306), some perfume, and a gold necklace. The suspects, three youths aged 16 to 19 years old, were handed over to the Tram Kak district police for legal action.
During the chase, three police vehicles were severely damaged and a police officer was seriously injured:
- a Ford car was severely damaged, a Lexus RX330 suffered moderate damage, and the Prius car suffered minor damage.
- An officer, Lieutenant Yuon Sopha, was seriously injured (fainted) and was taken to Takeo Provincial Referral Hospital.
[CEO News: However, no reason has been given by journalists or police to explain the 3 damaged police cars and the fainting police officer. What could have caused such damage ?]

Not sure what role the perfume plays, but it is obviously important.CEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Mon Apr 03, 2023 1:44 am There are a few more details here:

So, they stole a car (my assumption) and smashed into a jewelry shop to steal 1 (one) gold necklace?

Seems kinda an overreaction to smash up three vehicles and have coppers fainting over this
