CNN removed from cable here in Phnom Penh today.....

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Unfortunately I think this is an April Fool's Joke. I actually watched some of it for the first time in forever last night at the request of someone I am no longer friends with -this is not the reason though I can't say that it's definitely unrelated.

Honestly what I watched was so boring and overtly disingenuous that I can't imagine it's even that effective as propaganda. I think their main viewers are older liberals who just switch it on compulsively without much thought/feeling/passion.

No, I haven't had cable TV for years and never watched those US network news channels anyway. Five minutes of "news" on a constant cycle with ads until you decide that watching Cambodian karaoke is actually more stimulating. 8-)

Is that true? Must be because of the coming election.

I used to watch it years ago. I watched it during the Capitol riots live. Wolf Blitzer wore a face like his nuts were caught in something sharp.

But these past few years, since Trump rolled over in our sleep, it's got so stilted and silly. The advertising is really annoying and gobbles up way too much time.

"Mediawhores Online" used to be a great website years ago, too. But all good things must pass.

I have no idea if it is true or not. The availability of moronic news networks on cable TV is not something that I lose sleep over. I'm pretty sure you can access it using modern communication networks if you feel so inclined.

I work in a hotel and CNN got replaced by Euronews. Reason: CNN is finally asking to get paid.
