What time does your day start? Poll.

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. What time does your day start? Poll.

Post by Kung-fu Hillbilly »

At the moment I'm getting up before the sun to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet then head out for an hours exercise around sunrise. This is in stark contrast to a previous life not all that long ago where 4 or 5am wasn't an uncommon stumble in time and not a start time.

What time does your day start? And how do you like to start your day?

Leave home at 5.30 and walk to a small coffee /breakfast place on the street. I have strong coffee (hot) with a smidgen on condensed milk, sort of chat to a few locals, maybe get a freshly squeezed bottle of orange juice and walk home. About 20 mins each way. Hail, rain or shine.

Got to have a reason to get out of bed each day and with having emphysema it opens me up and strengthens what I have left.

Great coffee and have been doing this for over 5 years now.

Try to get up around 04:00 and go for a run/walk.

Today, it was the monthly KK Running Club Fun Run.

My day starts when I wake up and I like it when I wake up to start my day.

Get up at 3 am, give the cat a spoonful of cat treat, gobble meds and vitamins, get showered and dressed for work, out of the house by 5 am. Drive 1 hr to work, prepare 1 hr (at best) for work starting at 7 am. If the planned workday is 6 am, then wake up 1 hr earlier. Only have to do this hell for 25 years more.

If you at 3 am, why bother going to bed?

I'm back in the UK and currently get up at 2.30am because I have to start teaching online at 3am, which equates to 10am in Thailand. It's not too bad since I finish my lessons by about 2pm.

Throughout my life my working and waking patterns have varied.
By default I love no rules. I’ll sleep and get up whenever (although I cannot sleep in I can wake, do stuff on the internet then fall asleep again).

I’ve had jobs where I work through the night and sleep in the morning only.
I’ve had ugh 9-5.

I’ve never considered myself a morning person,

however for the past three years I generally get up at 5.26am ( :) ). I love finishing my working day ‘early’ so I still have ‘normal’ time in the afternoon to do things. The cost/benefit is positive.
Despite what angsta states, it’s clear from reading through his posts that angsta supports the free FreePalestine movement.
