So... Job search didn't go well.
After years of teaching here, I returned post-covid to find a not-so-welcoming job market.
Returned here May of 2022.
Visa now overstay (one day).
No work no money.
No way home.
I assumed finding work wouldn't be an issue as I taught here successfully for years. Over 600 students, awards and a salary of 1500 per month at great schools.
I wasn't expecting this.
I have emailed immigration and I am awaiting response.
I no longer have a passport.
It kind of had an accident but I have photos of it and visa and entry stamp.
What should I expect?
I'm an American who can't get to Phnom Penh to apply for emergency return. It's bad.
Any feedback as to what I can expect is appreciated.
I'm not interested in the digging as to why, nor am I interested in the lectures, and no, I don't teach improper grammar which you are currently viewing.
I won't ever return here.
Place has changed.
Long thread, not that old
What's the question?
I once got deported from Thailand mid 90s because of the ganja
Got back no problem by boat.
But then, once back in country you have to make sure not to get in immigration control.
There's the dichotomy i guess
With enough money you never run into overstay problems
Once in the mill, lack of money is what brought you there
Re: Deport me
Back in 1985 or so, i bought a thousand LSD trips
And tripped, until i could trip no more, because tolerance
Listening to this.
What does it even mean?

Re: Deport me
Not dead yet. Glad to see that my post will live though if I do.
Hey, I saw that the authorities captured a CIA spy trying to work against the current powers-that-be.
The CIA would never try to do something like that right?
Especially not while wearing a NorthFace tee shirt.
Jeesh.
HeyCambodia, reach out to me.
Sure am hungry.
Let me enlighten you on some things.
