Cancer treatment

Post by chiltern »

I have been helping a Khmer friend who I met many years ago when working in Cambodia who has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. Unfortunately various treatments which I have been funding has proved unsuccessful and now I have limited funds left to continue to search for a successful treatment although I can still offer some support to reduce the suffering until the inevitable happens. The doctors in the clinic where they have received treatment over a number of years refuse to offer any advice and only suggest trying different expensive drug therapies which we are unable to afford.
What I am asking is are there any charitable organisations in Cambodia that can offer help and advice. I am not seeking money just some advice as to how with the limited finance available I could make the inevitable progress as stress and pain free as possible and the best possible end of life care.

Thanks

I would start with getting the opinion of a competent doctor and supplying all the records of what has been done and what drugs were previously prescribed.

If the current team won't communicate, dump them.

Look at how they treated AndyKK's wife and then him.
