Cambodia News (Koh Kong): Two young men were fatally attacked by two men with knives, on 6 March 2023 at 3:40 am, in front of the old Safari World Zoo in Cham Yeam Village, Pak Klang Commune,Koh Kong

According to the Mondul Seima District Police Inspectorate, the dead were identified as Boeun Bunheng, a 23-year-old male worker living in Khang Ley Commune, and Heng Chandara, a 19-year-old male resident of the village.


The two suspects in the case are chefs working in a Chinese restaurant: 37 years old Heng Saudy, (who escaped custody), and 24-year-old Huy Haiti (arrested). Both were living in a building owned by Chinese in the village of Keat Heto. It is alleged that these two men stabbed the victims, who died at the hospital a short time after the attack.

The Mondul Seima District Police Inspectorate of Koh Kong Provincial Police have arrested one suspect while the other escaped. No motive for the attack has been put forward at this time.
The case is currently being processed according to legal procedures, and police continue to search for the second suspect.
