Cambodia News,( Kandal Province): A container truck, carrying a load of mosquito repellent in cans, was being driven carelessly without regard for safety, when it crashed into another container truck parked near the road at around midnight on March 4, 2023 along the national road near Koki market in Koki village, Kandal province.

According to traffic officials, a container truck and a Camry were parked on the roadside for the night, when the speeding container truck hit the parked truck, which rammed into the Camry car. The cans of mosquite repellent fell out of the truck on to the road where they exploded and ignited the vehicles. The three vehicles were burnt, and the fire spread to the roofs of neighboring houses and some shops.

Mr. Chhoeun Sochet, Kandal Provincial Commissioner, arrived on the scene with several fire trucks. However, the situation was difficult to control due to the gas in the mosquito repellent canisters which were exploding like grenades. Therefore, he asked for the assistance of fire trucks from the Phnom Penh Municipal Police to help put out the fire.

Just struck me, pretty hardcore for firefighters to show up with absolutely no protective gear.

"It's raining grenades, call bong!"

Good on them

I've seen the military guys go from weeding the median to immediately putting out a fire, the ones fighting the fires are extremely heroic and idiotic and it isn't their fault at all.
