Can I find these food's easy at Cambodian grocery stores?
Can I find these food's easy at Cambodian grocery stores?
So because I have a limited diet and cook my meals at home or my new home to be in Cambodia... I guess I'll live in Kep, Kampot or a other relaxed place...
Still figuring that out...
Easy to get soybeans (Endame beans)? fresh or frozen idk as these are crucial for my survival, please write a few words if you know about soybeans - hope their super easy available and in all stores?
I guess green leaf salads are a easy find? Spinach and kale?
Broccoli? Green peas?
That's it, thanks for any help in advance

Re: Can I find these food's easy at Cambodian grocery stores?
I suggest you watch a video about Cambodia's fruit&vegetable markets. There is plenty of greens avaiable (as per actual season).
work is for people who cant find truffles
Re: Can I find these food's easy at Cambodian grocery stores?
I just need to know if soybeans are easy available, can someone answer that? TIA
Re: Can I find these food's easy at Cambodian grocery stores?
What Truffledog mentioned above ^. Or just visit Kampot's market and look out for shops selling things for cooking like oyster sauce, soy sauce, chicken powder and such. They will also sell the white soy beans but no idea whether these are Endame (not a soy-boi myself).
Kep has no such market, you will have to make the 18 km trip to Kampot to shop.
Cooking with Sros is a nice local YouTube cooking channel also showing the prior shopping on Kampot market but she usually cooks with meat or (shell)fish.

Yes, soybeans are relatively easy to find, don't know about the quality.
You didn't mention Tofu but I'd imagine you also eat that and it's every.

Was walking along St 13 in PP and was surprised to find a couple of street vendors selling boiled edamame - ready to be eaten as a snack - but still in the pods. Although not Kep or Kampot, this suggests that there is demand for it from locals, that may not be confined to just PP, and therefore a market for it. I think your chances of finding it are good, as they seem to be grown locally.

Yes all those available here. If you happen to end up living in small rural village that might not have edamame, you can even order online from big city that and what ever you need.
For example https://aeononlineshopping.com/product/ ... store_id=1 They sell also 1kg bags of the stuff and they deliver pretty much everywhere in Cambodia.

OP, when you say soybeans are crucial for your survival, is that from a medical perspective or you something along the lines of not being able to imagine life without your favorite food?
