Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): A woman's screams, after she was robbed by two men, brought the neighborhood out in force along the corner of Street 208 and Street 63, in Sangkat Boeung Reang, Khan Daun Penh.

According to the victim, at 2:30am on 17 February, 2023, she left her rented house on foot and went to get something to eat. Moments later, two unknown men on a white and red Suzuki motorcycle, with license plates Phnom Penh 1FZ.6478, pulled up and asked her to go to eat with them, but she refused. Then, suddenly one of them snatched her phone from her, and the two thieves attempted to make a fast getaway on their motorbike.

The victim said that because she grabbed the shirt of one of them, they lost their balance and the motorcycle fell over. When the two men panicked and ran away, the woman continued chasing them, and shouted out to the people to help her catch the thieves. As a result, the two were captured and held until the police arrived, and the woman got her phone back, thanks to the assistance of the local citizens who responded to her cries for help.
