Kiss That Money Goodbye?

Post by kritsana77 »

Here's a hypothetical situation. There was a person who was three months late renewing their visa. That is approximately an extra $450. Is there any way that he/she could find an agreeable visa agent that can negotiate maybe a little bit lower price. So instead of paying $450 extra you might be able to pay $225. Is this a realistic possibility or just kiss the $450 good-bye. If someone knows ---I won't hold you responsible--- PM me.

Three months overstay does not equate to $450, more like $900 minimum.

They must be going by the old $5 a day overstay rate, it was changed about 7 years ago.

No, it's $10 per day, and as far as I know, there are no discounts.

@PSD-Kiwi might chime in and give you a definitive answer. Sit tight...

The amount of money in your bank limits it. And then there's deportation. And a ban if you're lucky.

Ask her first up to which overstay they will allow her to handle. They might want to see 'the overstaying person' in person @ their Pochentong Palace, but maybe visa Lady can tell you.

If she doesn't know, better send 'the overstaying person' with the cash to the Department of Immigration. Don't let him or her be bothered with being there early, they love lazy mornings there.
