Kratie Youth Dies from Motorbike Overload

Cambodia News (Kratie Province): On February 10, 2023, at 3:38 pm in Tramdom village, Vattanak commune, Sambor district, Kratie province, an 18-year-old youth, Chhang Pheakdey, was killed after his motorbike-tractor punctured a tire, and collapsed because it was overloaded with illegal logs.

It seems that the rear tire of the boy's motorbike burst with the weight of the logs due to overloading, and this caused the tractor to crash, and the wood fell on the driver and killed him instantly.
The body of the youth was examined by police and given back to the family for the funeral. However, it seems unlikely that there will be a further investigation into the real cause of this young man's death. RIP.

Was he supposed to sit on top of wood ? I see no seat, but triple shock breaker though...

What an utter waste. I can’t imagine for a moment that he was getting a decent payday for that risk

Dunno. If you look at the photo of the crashed motorbike, I can imagine that the load of wood was tied on behind the driver's seat, and then it abruptly moved forward when the tyre blew out and well, you get the rest.
Poor kid. RIP. I hope someone has enough conscience to give his family some money.
