This. What a sad tale, I'm picturing the sorriest looking dude sitting next to an empty stool, staring at a blue margarita or a singapore sling for 15 minutes. More shocking, this happens often and twice he has ordered a drink, which they've poured that he's refused to pay for! I'm surprised he didn't get his ass kicked for that. Yikes.

I never bought lady drinks when I went into a bar. I just never saw the point in buying time for inane conversation with a girl who only cares about her tip. If she likes you she'll come to you without being prompted. when I used to be a monger I would quickly assess whether the girl I liked, if any, was barfinable or not, and pay the $5 (going rate back then) with my drink.

Hey, I have a 99+% success rate in getting hostesses to sit next to me and pretend to like me if I buy them a lady drink. This only happened twice.

It's nothing like that scene. They usually drink Malibu and Coke.

i rarely buy lady drink these days and if i do its usually only too my friends who are working, and i usually make them attempt to beat me at pool first in order to earn the drink (and they buy me one if i win) i wouldnt buy them one if they are sat with a customer, some will come up and try and get one, and im just like youre with a cutomer, get back to work!
if im buying a stranger a drink she would have had to of sat with me for at least 10-15minutes before i offer her one, most bars i drink in the lady drinks are only around $3-3.50 so its never a sting in the pocket too much
