Hard title, soft title- how long should it take?
From the time of purchase of a piece of land, how long does it normally take to get all the relevant paperwork?
Soft title
Hard title
If the Sangkat are being difficult (they’re basically never available unless there’s a wedding to crash and drink free beer), which agency specifically should enquiries be made with?

I have had soft titles arranged within hours but it all depends on how fast the local authorities act. Our hard titles took months.Freightdog wrote: ↑Tue Jan 17, 2023 12:14 pm From the time of purchase of a piece of land, how long does it normally take to get all the relevant paperwork?

From Soft to Hard Title we’ve been waiting about 7 months
Know of a few others waiting too
The more $$ you give the Sangkat/ Land surveyors , the quicker the process …. (In other words they’re greedy fckers) ….. but hey
Before you could give them rice wine money and HEY PRESTO done deal , but now they want that ABC ca$h

It appears that the local bureaucrats are busy sorting their records out, including surveys to establish boundaries, etc. it’s a busy schedule, what with so many weddings to crash, and there’s a ‘we’ll get to it when we get there’ attitude.
I’m armed with paperwork, and shall be visiting their offices. No doubt when they’re not in…

Since you're not the legal owner why go in armed with paperwork? Why not let the legal owner sort it out?Freightdog wrote: ↑Thu Jan 19, 2023 5:49 pm It appears that the local bureaucrats are busy sorting their records out, including surveys to establish boundaries, etc. it’s a busy schedule, what with so many weddings to crash, and there’s a ‘we’ll get to it when we get there’ attitude.

As we are the legal owners, why would you think we shouldn’t?Kammekor wrote: ↑Thu Jan 19, 2023 7:09 pmSince you're not the legal owner why go in armed with paperwork? Re: Hard title, soft title- how long should it take?
One addition, when I started interfering with the process of obtaining hard titles for our land, as a non legal owner, it only frustrated the process instead of speeding / easing it up .
