Cambodia News, (Takeo Province): All National Police Leaders and Officers of the Provincial Police Commission shared their deepest condolences with Mrs. Prum Mom, wife of Mr. Brigadier General Ouk Chankosal, Deputy Provincial Police Commissioner of Takeo, who died of a heart attack in his office on January 3, 2023.

Provincial police officials said that Deputy Commissioner Ouk Chankosal was sleeping in his office recently because his house in Phnom Penh is so far away. That night, he went to rest in the room as usual, locked it from the inside, and after that he did not go out to eat or answer the phone.

Provincial police officials said that despite some suspicion, no one dared to knock on the door, until about 4 pm the next day when the commissioner decided to open the door of the room, where they found the General lying dead.

According to the autopsy of doctors as well as officials, it shows that the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Takeo Province, Brigadier General Ouk Chankosal, died about 4 in the morning and it was not until 4 pm that the door was opened, so it was lying there fpr 12 hours.
After the inspection, the body was handed over to the family to be taken to Sangkat Toul Tum Poung in Phnom Penh.
