Southeast Asia and Cambodia Invasion #2

Do you have a Cambodian trip report you want to share? Post it here, and feel free to link to your blog if it's a travel blog for Cambodia, South East Asia, or anywhere really. You can ask and answer questions about travel advice in Cambodia or just share your pictures and videos with us. Most people who live in or visit Cambodia have also checked out nearby countries like Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and you can get to most of these countries by traveling overland, so put any travel plans, reviews or questions here. Discussions about dirt bike trails in here as well.

Outside of Egypt they are the most annoying people I've ever met. Both times I went with women friends, and the amount of harassment is unbelievable. Desperate, horny, creepy freaks everywhere. Other twats who just want to follow you around talking crap and interfere with your plans or try to sell you some crap you never wanted. No, I don't want to go to your brother's houseboat in Kashmir and get kidnapped. Sometimes in the middle of nowhere I would be surrounded by fifty peasants all looking at me and pointing and talking shit. At first I wished they would all die but later I barely noticed.
What you mentioned is actually very similar to what I saw over in Morrocco, but i would rate there as much worse. Im not sure if posted that info on this forum, basically like you said, id leave my room in the morning to get some snacks, and here we have these men standing there waiting for me to leave my room and following me along on a walk. Over here in India i didnt see quite the same level of harassment. I just saw this around major tourist destinations.

I currently live in Gurugram which is about 20 miles south of New Delhi (the city was advised to me by another expat). Other than the initial taxi scam, its been ok so far. I got a SIM, downloaded both Uber and Rapido, and i can grab an Uber for like 50 to 80 cents US and get from A to B, and sometimes the subway for about 30 cents USD for a 1 way ride, and no problems or overcharges at all. Airbnb works much better than booking.com in India is my experience because you pay for the room online with a credit card.
