No more cambodia draft outside of Phnom Penh

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

I am sure your departure would be akin to Black Tuesday, the Dotcom bubble crash, and the financial crisis for the Kampot economy all rolled in one.

Cambodia, Angkor, Anchor, all interchangeable. Hardly more than beer flavoured water, but a good cold drink on a hot day. A couple of bars here in Siem Reap ran out of draft at the weekend, when customers asked for it they just opened a can and poured it into a glass, charged the same $1 a glass, no-one noticed any difference. Hanuman has a slightly different flavour, Gansberg is certainly a bit more malty, and Krud lives up to its name. This is all what I've been told anyway, not being a big drinker myself.

I was referring to all the 50c drinkers and smokers leaving, where did I say I lived there, a few days in Kampot is enough for me it's boring. Seems people there get a bit defensive if thier idea of utopia is not the same as others.

I never drink draft, whatever the brand. Same as when I lived in London 30 years ago. Bottles and cans are much safer.

Beer lines should be cleaned every 2 weeks. If the supplier takes care of it then it is all good. If not, it is anyone's guess when the lines were cleaned last.

Yes, you don't get stale/flat beer from a bottle or can.

I did find a rat in a bottle of beer once. Year ago in Kenya. It was at a pool party, it was dark, and I only noticed when I took a swig and got chunks of rate in my mouth. Put me off bottles or cans for a long time.

No new/last order allowed. We should inform them when our stock is finished, then they will come and pick up the equipment.
An interesting post, possibly incorrect. I spoke to a couple of bar owners here in Siem Reap this week, they knew nothing about this, and they were getting kegs of draft Cambodia as ordered. Maybe its just in S'ville...
