29 Arrests in Raid on Poipet Noodle Shop

Cambodia News, (Banteay Meanchey): According to the Ministry of Interior, 29 men and women were arrested during a police crackdown at 4:30 pm on December 28, 2022 at a noodle shop in O'Chrov village, Sangkat Ochrov, Poipet City, Banteay Meanchey Province.

The noodle shop raid was organized by Brigadier General Thin Sindeth, Deputy Commissioner for Anti-Drug Crimes, acting on information that the shop was a drug supply and drug use location.
According to the Deputy Commissioner, Tao Panha Rong, a 44-year-old man who owns the noodle shop, was selling drugs to his customers and allowing them to use the location for the illegal use of drugs.

The officers arrested 29 suspects during the police operation, including two women, and they confiscated 7.34 grams of white powder in little packets which are suspected to be drugs, some smoking equipment, and 13 mobile phones. A machine to play fishing games was also seized from the shop premises.

Those fishing game machines are the worst, they all need to be rounded up and destroyed.
