Khmer Thieves Forced to Drink a Bottle of Chinese Booze - Straight

Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: This is a shocking and very funny story when you see how two Khmer men were punished by the Chinese supermarket owner after they stole 2 bottles of Chinese wine worth nearly $200 a bottle. Instead of calling the cops, the shop owner forced the two thieves to drink a bottle of Chinese alcohol, straight down the hatch, to teach them a lesson.
This incident happened on the night of December 29, 2022 at the Chinese supermarket Hong Chheu in New Town, Prey Tea I Village, Sangkat Choam Chao III, Khan Por Senchey, Phnom Penh.
According to one of the thieves, he stole two bottles of $ 398 worth of wine from a Chinese supermarket to store for New Year's Eve. Unfortunately, the owner of the Chinese supermarket caught him in the act, and punished him by making him drink a bottle of Chinese alcohol - neat- before being allowed to leave the market.
The tale was a big hit on Khmer social media, and the Chinese shopkeeper's method of "revenge'" was much admired by Cambodian commenters.
Cheers and a Happy New Year to all.

It's all great until someone dies of alcohol poisoning.CEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 6:18 pm The tale was a big hit on Khmer social media, and the Chinese shopkeeper's method of "revenge'" was much admired by Cambodian commenters.

That's what I thought but it looks like on 700mil bottle that 350 MLS each , that punishment would deter me, especially being Chinese whiskey yakJohn Bingham wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 7:10 pmIt's all great until someone dies of alcohol poisoning.CEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Sat Dec 31, 2022 6:18 pm The tale was a big hit on Khmer social media, and the Chinese shopkeeper's method of "revenge'" was much admired by Cambodian commenters.

Well I was thinking it might be a bigger problem for the shop owner to have a dead guy in the place.
