ahh Indians on flights don't understand Jai Yen

Thailand is Cambodia's neighbor to the West, and this forum is dedicated to Thai news, stories, reviews, blogs, videos, Thai people and anything else related to the country. A lot of expats have both lived and worked in Cambodia and Thailand, and this area is a place to discuss all aspects of life in Thailand and what's going on there. Most topics are about Bangkok and Pattaya because of their larger populations of expatriates and tourists in those cities, but this is for all things Thai.

ahh Indians on flights don't understand Jai Yen

Post by phuketrichard »

An altercation took place on board a Thai Smile flight from Bangkok to Kolkata and captured by a passenger.

Now, Richard. I may not be Indian, or Thai, and I’m not on a flight, Thai or otherwise. I’m sure you’re eager for someone to ask you to elaborate on Jai Yen. So why don’t you?

I had a friend who was a waitress in a hotel restaurant that said the most difficult customers were Indian.

One shouldn't generalize but, after more than 30 years in the hotel business, Indians are definitely in the top 5 of my personal "worst guests" list. Though I have also made great friends with Indian guests over the years.

In a different context, this would be funny.

(On a personal level, I have flown Thai Smile a few times. Always had a great experience.)

Few random things;
When i ran a travel magazine in Phuket in the late 80's- mid 90's my boss was a Thai of Indian descent, couldn't have a had better one

Thai's have a saying
"when you come across a cobra and an Indian, kill the Indian first"

When i first visited Goa in the 70's, was with a lady who loved to sunbath naked,
Indians would see her laying on the beach and stare, she would turn to them and declare, "look all you want but your cocks are to small to satisfy me" they'd all shyly walk away every time

racist?
yea i guess but....

Indian bashing?? Seems a tad racist.
Is this thread really necessary?
