Milan Reports 50% of Passengers on China Flights Have Covid
Does Cambodia, Thailand, Bali, Europe, the states really want these people just to boost tourism??
https://news.yahoo.com/milan-reports-50 ... 02106.html
My $.05 worth,
every country should require a Negative test 48 hours before any arrival from China and a rapid test at the airport
so what if it costs them $$$ an its a inconvenience.
The world needs to stop the spread and containing the Chinese is one way
.Italian health authorities will begin testing all arrivals from China for Covid after almost half of the passengers on two flights to Milan were found to have the virus.
Most of those who tested positive weren’t showing symptoms. But local media reported that there’s increasing concern among health officials about new Covid variants emerging from China.
Italy was the first European country to be hit hard by Covid in early 2020.
While the high rate of passengers with the virus has put authorities on alert, one factor in Italy’s favor is its high vaccination rate.
More than 80% of people are fully inoculated, according to the World Health Organization, and many have also received booster shots. It’s a similar story across much of Western Europe

Do I detect a slght anti-Chinese bias? Lol...
But I agree, they should put a negative test requirement before departure/boarding or turn them back at the airport on arrival...

No anti-China bashing in the least.
PRC Vaccines are not as good as the western vaccines.
Supposedly, western vaccine development used gobs of super computer power for modeling and testing, something that PRC China lags behind.
Just my opinions, of course.

It seems that while the Sinovac's effectiveness is under some question , the western vaccines from Pfizer etc are the ones being blamed for heart attacks etc. The ones that Fauci and his wife cooked up in their secret labs.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Fri Dec 30, 2022 10:21 pm No anti-China bashing in the least.

Rishi Sunak to impose Covid tests on travellers from China in U-turn
Aubrey Allegretti Political correspondent, and Nadeem Badshah
Fri 30 Dec 2022 20.46 GMT
Rishi Sunak has performed a major U-turn by imposing Covid checks on travellers from China from 5 January, after criticism from a growing number of Conservative MPs over his “dithering”.
After a series of seemingly mixed messages about whether the UK would follow the lead of Spain, Italy, Israel, the US and India in screening arrivals, the prime minister backed the move to bring the UK into line with its allies in a change of policy on Friday.
The UK Health Security Agency will also initiate surveillance from 8 January, which will see a sample of passengers arriving in England from China tested for the virus as they arrive.
Covid-19 cases in China continue to surge after Beijing’s abrupt decision to end most of its strict pandemic restrictions. Concerns about the ability to track any potential new variants have led No 10 to bring forward a “clarification” that was promised by defence secretary Ben Wallace earlier this week.
Because travel is a devolved matter the decision will affect England only. However, all direct flights from China are said to land in England.
The government said airlines will be required to check that passengers from China have a negative Covid test before departure, with travellers required to show evidence that their result was negative.

Then that would again expand to countries where Chinese are prevalent (i.e. Asian countries that don't impose restrictions), which could spread to Cambodia.phuketrichard wrote: ↑Thu Dec 29, 2022 5:11 pm

More countries plan conditions for arrivals from China
TodayMore countries are imposing or considering curbs on travellers from China as Covid-19 cases in the country surge following its relaxation of "zero-Covid" rules.
can't copy and paste Bangkok post anymore ;-(

It will be interesting to see whether non-Chinese on the same flights as the Chinese will require Covid testing as well.
