Battambang Reservoir Full of Unexplained Dead Fish

Cambodia News (Battambang Province): According to Ho Sam Art, the vice chairman of the Conservation of Reang Pen 3T Reservoir on December 28, 2022, many fish were found floating dead in the Reang Pen reservoir. Most of the fish were 4 to 5 months old weighing around 200 to 300g. He said that a similar incident occurred in 2018, however, the cause was never identified.

The dead fish are being examined by experts, who have determined that the fish haven't been electrocuted or poisoned by illegal fishermen, nor have they been poisoned by toxic chemicals, such as herbicides. The scientists are therefore continuing their investigations into the reason for this incident.
