Thai Casino Worker Sent to Court for Gold Scam

Banteay Meanchey Province: On December 26, 2022, the Poipet City Gendarmerie sent a Thai woman casino employee to the Banteay Meanchey Provincial Prosecutor's Office for questioning and a legal decision in connection with a case of abuse of confidence by stealing 7,477,244 baht from the casino company, from November 1, 2022 to December 24, 2022, at Palace Casino in Samaki Meanchey Village in Poipet City.

According to the report of the Poipet City Military Police, the suspect was identified as Kong Chai Lak Samy, alias Lok Mey, a 27-year-old Thai woman working at Palace Casino in Poipet.
The victim, Peng Raksmey, male, 38 years old, Khmer, resides in Mittapheap Village, Sangkat Poipet, Poipet City.

After the arrest, the military police confiscated the following exhibits: - 5 gold leaf sheets. 1 yellow metal bracelet. - 1 black laptop. - 1 watch. - 1 yellow metal necklace - 1 Iphone 14pro max, and more than 100,000 Thai baht in cash.

The Thai woman was arrested by the Cambodian military police on December 25, 2022 in Poipet city and is being held for questioning..
