Cambodia News, Phnom Penh: A foreign man has died after being shot three times by a group of gunmen, who drove up in a white luxury car outside THE PEAK building along Sabit Street in Tonle Bassac, Chamkarmon, Phnom Penh, at 12 midnight on December 25, 2022.
The victim has not yet been officially identified, but he is a male foreigner aged about 40 years old. The gunmen are also believed to be foreigners


According to sources at the scene, the victim was standing alone out in front of the building when suddenly, a group of men drove to a stop near the victim and pulled out a pistol and fired three shots, leaving him lying in a pool of blood. The car then drove off into the night.
After the incident, the joint police arrived at the above location and contacted the ambulance to take the victim to Calmette Hospital for treatment, but unfortunately the victim died on the way to the hospital. After the death, the body was taken to Stung Meanchey pagoda for autopsy.


In addition, Major General Cheav Vibol, Deputy Director of the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Interior, led a team of professional police officers to inspect the evidence around the scene to assist local authorities. There is a maximum police alert out to find the car and the gunmen.

UPDATE: English Gunman Arrested for Execution Killing

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): On 14 February 2023, police finally arrested a gunman who shot a foreign man in an execution-style killing on Xmas Eve, December 24, 2022, in the center of Phnom Penh, in front of The Peak Condominium, at Sangkat Tonle Bassac, Khan Chamkar Mon.

A spokesman for the Phnom Penh Municipal Police said on the evening of February 16, that the specialized force of the Chamkar Mon District Police Inspectorate, in cooperation with the Phnom Penh Municipal Police, arrested a foreign man on the 14th February 2023, on charges of shooting a man to death in front of The Peak Building, on the night of December 24, 2022 at 23: 40.

Suspect's name is JOSEPH SWARTZ , alias JASON VERNAZZA, alias ALAN BRADLY WILSON, alias JAMES SPADER, male, 31 years old, English nationality, address unknown, occupation is hired killer. Police confiscated 1 handgun, a black ruger, 1 flick-knife.


According to sources at the scene, before the incident, the victim was standing outside the condo entrance alone when suddenly, a group of men drove up in a white Land Rover, stopped near the victim, and one of the men fired three shots at the victim.
Currently, with the suspects and the above evidence, the specialized force of the Office is building a case to be sent to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for trial.
