Where can you get a decent one in Phnom Penh? Not those mystery meat ones they sell off carts.

Obviously but believe it or not there's many possible locations. I presume by the river in D1 but it would have completed the article to put the actual location, it's rather pertinent information.

Yeah, I tried one of those. After one bite I took all of the “meat” out and tossed it. Ate the rest of it as is.

Seeing how popular those sandwiches are in Vietnam its a kind of strange that they are not readily available in PP? Seems like a good opportunity to get one started.

They are available, as are fancy versions of the Cambodian Num Pang. Where I don't know, there was a place behind the Chinese Embassy but I think it's gone now.

I havent been in VN but whats the translation of Banh Mi ?? Is it as simpel as sandwich or french baguette with something in it ?? I know a goodlooking VN place on the corner from 19 and 148 or 154, but never tried it to be honest !! ?? I have been several times in a Viet- place on street 75 close to 88 but dont remeber just north or south. Was small place with only 8 tables and at midday that had nce lunchset, saw several times embassy-staff eating overthere, as my hotel was only 2 blocks away, i liked it a lot !! They were french/Viet/khmer couple !!
