Swordsman Arrested After Samurai Attack Ordered by Jealous Ex-Wife

Cambodia News, (Pursat): Police in Ta Lo Sen Chey district arrested one of the four suspects sought for acts of violence committed on December 9, 2022, after receiving a complaint from Khoeut Vandy, male 21 years old, residing in Samsan Village, Talo Commune, Pursat Province.

Ta Ko Sen Chey District Police Inspector, Virak Lt. Gen. Ul Hay, said that the victim had filed a complaint of intentional violence by a gang of four men, who attacked him without warning with a samurai sword on the evening of December 8. He was wounded in his left arm needing 10 stitches at the hospital.

The victim identified one of the four assailants as Wuy Samphas, a 22-year-old man living in Rohal Til village, Talo commune, Talo Sen district, but on the other hand, he did not know the names of the other three men who attacked him. However, he was sure that the attack was planned his ex-wife, who was already separated and divorced from him, but was still jealous.

Immediately after receiving the victim's complaint, the Ta Lo Administration Post, in cooperation with the District Police Inspector, conducted a search and arrested the suspect and confiscated the crime weapon, a 75-centimeter-long samurai knife. A black McVeigh Alpha motorcycle, 2021 series, no license plate, and a white Marvel Vivo phone were also seized by the authorities.

The suspect later confessed in front of the police that he had committed acts of violence against the victim, and gave the names of the other three attackers :
1. Name: Em Dwarf, male, over 20 years old,
2. Name: Nhen Mep, male, over 20 years old,
3. Male name: Male, male, over 20 years old.
They all live together in Rohal Til village, Talor commune, Talor Senchey district, Pursat province.

Afterwards, the police asked the Prosecutor of Pursat Provincial Court to detain the suspect temporarily, while police search for the other three more suspects who are in hiding.

That’s a samurai sword? Looks like a piece of rusted metal. If it had a super sharp blade, no way would the guy be holding it blade down for photos and not be injured.
