Cambodia News (Koh Kong): On 7 December 2022 police of Mondul Seima District Police Inspectorate arrested one of two suspects for hitting a victim with a rectangular metal rod causing the victim a head injury. The incident arose when a verbal conflict escalated into physical violence, while the victim was drinking with the two suspects in Cham Yeam village, Pak Klang commune, Mondul Seima district, Koh Kong province.

According to the police of Mondul Seima district, the two suspects are: 31 years old Say Thai who was arrested, and 21 years old Sok Toem, who escaped. Both suspects live in Cham Yeam village. The victim, who also lives in the same village, was named as 47-year-old Chon Chea.

Currently, the above suspect, Say Thai, has been sent to the Koh Kong Provincial Police to prepare the form and build a case for legal proceedings, while the authorities are still searching for the other assailant.
