Construction Worker Shocked to Death While Fishing
Cambodia News (Kandal): At 10:50 a.m. on 6 December 2022, a construction worker who went to electrocute some fish was pronounced dead on arriving at the hospital, after being rushed there due to an electric shock. The incident happened at Prek Ho Village 1. Sangkat Prek Ho, Takhmao City, Kandal Province.
Before the incident, a man was seen holding a fishing tackle device at a pool of water. However, perhaps due to an error in the set up, the man was fatally shocked by the electric current. The victim's wife saw the incident and rushed to her husband to the hospital for emergency treatment. Unfortunately, upon arrival at the hospital, doctors confirmed that the victim had died.
The deceased was a 30-year-old male construction worker named Lily, who is from Siem Reap. The victim had a wife, but no children. Prior to the incident, the victim had been living near the scene with his wife for almost two years. In his spare time, he used to go to catch fish to cook and eat.
