Nephew Cuts Up Uncle, Causing Serious Injuries
Case of nephew drinking and arguing with uncle, taking 3 knives, causing serious injuries
Cambodia news, Pursat: According to the National Police General Commission, on November 30, 2022, at 5:25 pm, a nephew got drunk and had an argument with his uncle, stabbing him during a drinking incident which took place at the home of Vanthy, a 35-year-old man, from Samrong village in Pursat province.
According to the suspect, Chhorn Sao, he and his brother-in-law, Vanthy, together with his uncle Pheum, had all been drinking together for a long time. Then he (Sao) had argued with his uncle, and grabbed a knife from the kitchen wall, stabbing the victim 3 times - twice on the head and a knife wound to the left arm.
Colonel Neang Vuth, Inspector of Bakan District Police Inspectorate, confirmed that after receiving reports from residents about repeated cases of intentional violence at the above point, 3 Boeung Bot Kandol police intervened by arresting people at the scene.
Chhorn Sao, a 32-year-old man living in the upper commune, was arrested at this time, and brought to the Boeung Bot Kandol Administrative Police Station for questioning.
The victim of the knife attack, Phe Rom, a 60-year-old male resident of the above commune village, was seriously injured and was sent to the Bakan District Referral Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, police are building a case against the chief suspect, Chhorn Sao.
