Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On 2 December 2022, the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Interior launched a raid, in which they arrested a gang of 7 male and female suspects, who are allegedly involved in a string of recent episodes of "motorcycle-jacking" and armed robberies of motorcyclists in Phnom Penh.

The above operation was carried out under the leadership of Major General Cheav Vibol, Deputy Director of the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Interior in collaboration with the forces of Khan Por Senchey, Khan Meanchey and Khan Dangkor. As a result, the police detained a total of seven suspects, including a woman, and confiscated several motorcycles and a Prius car, along with some related exhibits.
The officers who conducted the operation revealed that these suspects are a most professional and active robber gang operating in the Phnom Penh city region.
The suspects have now been transferred to the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Interior for further interrogation.
