Drunk Chinese Drives into the Concrete Flyover Road Divider
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On 25 November 2022, an accident happened at 10 pm, when a drunk Chinese man, driving a Corolla car at high speed without caution, hit the concrete barrier of the Psar Dei Huy flyover, in front of Teuk Thla Health Center along Russian Federation Road in Sangkat Teuk Thla, Khan Sen Sok, Phnom Penh.
According to sources at the scene, a Chinese man who was drunk was seen driving a silver Corolla (Phnom Penh 2X-7124) along the Russian Federation Road when he rammed into the railing of the flyover, causing damage to the front of the car.
However, fortunately, the railing was only slightly damaged. The local authorities arrived shortly afterwards; they then towed the Chinese man's vehicle away for storage at the Land Traffic Office of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police until he pays for the damage done.

That looks like a good hit, the driver will be climbing the leaderboard in the Chinese "driving at high speed into stationery objects" championship
The road dividers are harder to hit than houses so they have to concentrate more to make sure they hit them full on, rather than just a glancing hit

Re: Drunk Chinese Drives into the Concrete Flyover Road Divider
A Chinese and a Khmer divider are what it takes to put down a Corolla, so, congrats to their solid teamwork for being able of so much focus on a difficult task.
Re: Drunk Chinese Drives into the Concrete Flyover Road Divider
I notice that there are never any photos of all these drunk Chinese drivers. Why? They seemed to have found out about their nationality so must have had a chat with him. So why never a decent photo or, even better, one at the police station with a charge sheet around his neck for drunk driving.
A bit of public shaming would be very good for local taxi drivers and chauffeur recruitment. Not so good for crash repair workshops.

I think, once upon a very long time ago, you had to write out Stationary / Stationery 100 times on a blackboard!armchairlawyer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 3:23 pmHitting a fountain pen or a pencil-sharpener at high speed? I also think that "methinks" would get you 200 lines.

Probably easier just to leave the damaged Corolla at the pig sty rather than pay for fictional damage to the railing and bridgeCEOCambodiaNews wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 12:38 am

I would guess the more damage done to both the car & the stationary object, the more points the driver gets in this game the Chinese like to playarmchairlawyer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 3:23 pmHitting a fountain pen or a pencil-sharpener at high speed?
