Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): In Phnom Penh last night, two cars collided at a crossroads and crashed into a street light pole, causing one car to smash the front, and the other to hit a light pole. One car was carrying three foreigners, including the driver, and the other car was driven by a Cambodian man alone. Despite the intensity of the collision, because both cars were speeding, it was fortunate that no one was injured.

The accident happened at 2:15 AM on November 27, 2022 along Street 114 at right angles to Street 51 in Sangkat Phsar Thmei I, Khan Daun Penh, Phnom Penh.

Sources at the scene said that prior to the incident, a black Lexus RX300, with license plate Phnom Penh 2AO-3735, was seen driven by a foreign man traveling with two other foreign men in the vehicle. It was driving along Route 51 in a north-south direction at high speed when it arrived at the intersection, where it collided with a white Toyota Prius, with license plate Phnom Penh 2AO-5064, traveling along Route 114 from west to east at high speed. The collusion caused the Lexus to crash into a light pole, while the front of the Toyota Prius was completely demolished.

After the incident, the police of Phsar Thmei 1 police station arrived at the scene and asked both parties to coordinate an agreement for accident compensation, but since both parties could not agree who was at fault, the police towed away both vehicles to the Daun Penh district inspectorate while waiting for a solution.
