KTV Brothel Raided and Minor Girl Rescued

Cambodia News, (Kampong Cham Province): On November 21, 2022, Major General Em Kosal, Provincial Police Commissioner of Kampong Cham Province, ordered a crack down on prostitution at the Mlup Sbov KTV karaoke shop in Ampil Thom village, Khvit Thom commune, Prey Chhor district, Kampong Cham province.

Police arrested Chhorn Thi, a 39-year-old Cambodian woman from O'Ka Khop village,Kampong Chhnang province, as the "mamasan" boss, and took two sex workers (one minor) to the Kampong Cham Provincial Police Station to conduct procedural inquiries.

After questioning, and with the participation of social workers who accompanied the juvenile victim, on the orders of Mr. Touch Udom, Deputy Prosecutor of the Kampong Cham Provincial Prosecutor's Office, the police arrested Chhorn Thy on charges of prostitution. The minor victim of sex-trafficking was handed over to the social welfare juvenile officers.

The police team confiscated 5 used condoms and 6 unused condoms.

The condoms were reportedly washed, reshaped with wooden dildos and then repackaged before being resold.
The arrested woman said she was paid $0.17 (£0.13) per kilogram for the condoms, according to Vietnam's state broadcaster VTV.
So, if you get your blackmarket condoms super-cheap, there may be a reason. :bad:
