Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On the afternoon of 18 November 2022, The minor offences police force of the Phnom Penh Municipal Police investigated and cracked down on two cases of motorcycle robbery and theft in Phnom Penh, and arrested a total of 6 suspects. The police brought the suspects to the Phnom Penh Municipal Criminal Police Office and prepared a case to be sent to court for legal action on the same day.
Colonel Bun Satya, ordered an operation to investigate Borey VIP, Khan Dangkor, and another place in Sangkat Toek Laak III, Khan Toul Kork for stolen motorcycles. As a result of the search, which took several days, the specialized criminal force was able to arrest the suspects in the above cases.


One of the motorcycle thefts occurred on 29 October 2022, in which there was a case of hijacking a white Honda Scoop motorcycle (Phnom Penh 1HO-0973) at Borey Vi. Phi, Spean Thmor commune, Dangkor district. The robbery was made by three suspects on a motorcycle who robbed the motorcycle of the victim, 27-year-old Ty Sokna, while the victim was riding a motorcycle alone. After the robbery of the victim's motorcycle, two suspects were arrested on 15 November 2022 in Dangkor commune, Dangkor district, including 18 year old Chhin Davy, alias Pov, engaged in motorcycle repairing. Exhibits seized include a white Honda Scooter, with a fake Prey Veng license plate number 1LL-0973.

Colonel Bun Satya said that in another case, a Black Honda C125 (Phnom Penh 1FL-9785), was taken away in Tuol Kork by 4 suspects who were later arrested . The motorcycle was parked at the car sales point No. 23, Village 10, Sangkat Toek Laak 3, Khan Toul Kork at 10:30am on 10 October 2022, when it was stolen.
