What lamb? The "mutton" was goat meat. I always knew mutton to be older lamb, e.g. 1+ year old. But since being here I have found that mutton is goat and real mutton is nowhere to be found.

Goat meat is actually healthier for you than lamb, beef and pork, apparently its called Mutton in most of south Asia and the Caribbean

Total baller. How the hell can anyone get through that much food and booze in a few days? Are you 200 kilo or something?

This museum is like no other, a must go for those who love Chinese history. The Chinese name of this museum is 國立故宮博物院 literally National (國立) Forbidden City (故宮) Museum (博物院), Forbidden City in Peking is actually the Chinese Palace so its called National Palace Museum.

Thanks to the President Chiang Ching-Kuo of the KMT, these Chinese treasures had been saved from the dumb communist's destructions during the Cultural Revolution.
Thank you for this post Monsenior Yong. This point you make about the National Museum in Taiwan having all the national treasures of China is no small consequence and has a lot to do with the coveting of Taiwan by the motherland.

My last meal with my suppliers was on Wednesday afternoon lunch. We went to a chicken restaurant

Located in a secluded place and a tiny lane, easy to miss it if not for this sign

But it looks new

All very nice if you're a business traveller.

My memory is of excellent street food at reasonable prices, that's both street stalls in night markets and the lower end small restaurants. All good.

Also worth mentioning: the people were great; not over pushy, but genuine.
