With her having her name on two property hard titles in Cambodia, a bank account showing a income for the the last 2 plus years , even though she is still studying, an amount of cash in her bank account to last her for the first year of study, and now a half share in a business,, why would she be refused a study visa. An amount of A $1,000 per month is a recommended sum of money required but she would pass with less as she would have free accommodation in my house in Australia.. If you think this is something you plan in five minutes you are wrong. It's taken years of planning, unlike your ten second comment.

doesnt mean i talk untruthfully, just simply just means its a genuine statement, i dont say it as often in spoken speech, as context and tone is a lot easier to pick up, im british, in messages its not always as easy, so its just a habit of putting that as an indicator, the same way lol gets over used even if you didnt actually laugh out loudBrody wrote: ↑Thu Nov 17, 2022 10:31 amJamie, just a quick aside:
why do you, more often than not, punctuate your sentences with a declaration that you have written a truthful statement?
Do you habitually engage in such a disturbing amount of communicative subterfuge... that on the rare occasion when you are indeed speaking honestly, you feel the reflexive need to bring it to the readers/listeners attention?

I hear that business is so bad at Garage Bar now that they have stopped selling draft beer because they can't sell enough draft beer before the keg goes bad.

Anyone coming to Australia on an F1 Student visa can legally work up to 40 hours per fortnight during term/semester and unrestricted hours during university holidays.
Given that most areas of the hospitality industry, including caffes and bars, are desperate for workers and virtually dependent on F1 Student Visa workers no CV will be required to start, and if any good quickly retained as a casual or regular employee.
Add to this Australia's minimum wage law payment of AS$812-60 per week, for a 38 hour week, or AS$21-38 per hour and with the reputed average wage for waitresses in Sydney being AS$28-38 per hour and main bar staff AS$30 per hour, the very last thing a student coming from Cambodia needs to worry about is a CV. There is well paying work for anyone that genuinely wants it in Australia. And that's one of the reasons that young people on a working holiday visa flock to Australia and still we can't get enough casual workers.

Wow, those wages seem outrageously high. It makes me wonder how there are any bars or restaurants still operating in Australia. What kind of money does someone working a real job make?Ot Mean Loi wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 9:55 am Anyone coming to Australia on an F1 Student visa can legally work up to 40 hours per fortnight during term/semester and unrestricted hours during university holidays.

The bit that kills it is if you have to pay RENT. Even flatting with flatmates will set you back on average A $300 per week.
